Verdict: if the agent must go from nothing — no pre-made account, no stored card, no human at a browser — to a deployed app and a registered domain, with the human appearing only to approve a payment by email, Slipdock is the only one of these five built for that flow. For everything else — managed databases today, large ecosystems, edge scale, compliance paperwork, price-per-domain — the others are more mature and are usually the right call. They are general developer platforms that happen to have APIs; Slipdock is the narrow thing where the actor is an agent and money is fenced off by design.
Feature grids of "who has an API" are misleading: all five have APIs. The question for an AI agent is what happens before the API is usable, and whether the agent can ever touch money. That is where they diverge.

flyctl/machines and APIs, real stateful volumes and Postgres. Excellent for latency-sensitive, multi-region, stateful workloads. Beats Slipdock on: global regions, stateful compute, maturity. Loses the agent angle: human org signup, org card, no domain registry API, no agent spend boundary.402 and a payment link goes to the human). We are worse on: Postgres (roadmap), compliance, ecosystem, edge breadth, price-per-TLD vs Cloudflare, and years of track record.| If you are… | Reach for |
